The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed regarding the substantial variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The service issue designed for intervention experiences a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all buyers and increase use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
